Thanks for visiting both of my offerings. I think in some religious views people are pawns. When the masses believe they are pawns - well they are more inclined to believe they are just tools of the gods. And will give all they can just for the promise of what will be (hopefully better than what is). I hope that makes sense. That's sort of where I was going with that particular phrase. Interesting though that 'Gods' would have to recruit 'men' to do their bidding?
As for connectedness...(which apparently isn't a word...) I think that we could all go into a museum and find bits and pieces of ourselves encoded in the history of busts, paintings and even other works of art. :)
